Who we are

WESELY BROTHERS

The Wesely Bros are an independent filmmaking team led by brothers Simon and Joshua Wesely, who have been creating narrative films together since their debut feature in 2020. Their first film, produced in Germany, went viral shortly after release and reached millions of viewers, establishing the brothers early on as distinctive voices in independent cinema. Since then, they have produced five feature films with more than 15 million total views across platforms.

Their mission goes far beyond entertainment. As Christians, Simon and Joshua see filmmaking as a calling: their goal is to create films that lead people to faith, strengthen believers, and inspire transformed lives. They are committed to telling stories that point to hope, redemption, and truth — not simply making “good films,” but producing works that carry eternal impact. Their vision is clear: to see heaven filled and hell emptied through the reach of their films.

Their most recent feature was shot in the summer of 2025, continuing their focus on character-driven stories filmed in authentic international environments. They are currently developing a new film in collaboration with two New York Times bestselling authors, Andrew and Wilson, marking one of their most ambitious projects to date.

Operating internationally with production bases in Nashville, Tennessee, and Germany, the Wesely Bros work across continents — including Africa, the United States, and Europe — to capture stories rooted in real experiences and cultural depth.

Their filmmaking is strengthened by a fully integrated family team:

  • Dr. Stephan Wesely – Business Advisor & Consultant

  • Michaela Wesely – Accounting, Taxes & On-Set Operations

  • Tabitha Wesely – Cinematographer, Director of Photography & Pre-Production Lead

This family-centered and faith-driven foundation shapes every project at Wesely Bros: disciplined collaboration, purposeful storytelling, and a commitment to creating films that change lives.

    SCRIPT ADVISOR

As producers, our actors are our responsibility for the time of the shoot. As shepherds, we have a God-given responsibility to care for our sheep, much like a pastor.

Actors are long gone from their spouses and devils try to attack. Long nights on set and the intense practicing between a man and woman is irreplaceable. A kiss is an intimate thing that belongs ONLY in marriage and we won't that cross. Because after the kissing scene, many evenings in a hotel together, away from the set, would often follow and an affair is one step closer.

OUR CORE VALUE

We believe that there is a place for evangelism and a place where there is a different focus. In a church, an atheist would never play in worship. We make films to evangelize, but the set is not part of it. Supernatural unity and fighting with prayer helps to fulfill the mission as a team. That's why we have a 100% Christian-Set policy. Sounds tough, but that is how the industry is.

Christian movies still don't have a very good image, some find them cheezy and cheaply made. Other Christians don't watch Christian movies because they are mostly deep and sad. We believe that the story, the actors and whatever else is involved should strive for perfection because we do it for a greater reason. Hollywood is pretty perfect, although in a bad way, we should strive for it too.
